Martha Stewart confessed that her celebrity crush is Christian Bale — specifically from his role in ‘American Psycho.’
Martha Stewart has revealed her celebrity crush — and it’s a killer choice.
The domestic diva was asked to share her crush in the “Today” show’s Orange Room Wednesday and she dished that she has her heart set on Christian Bale.
“I have lots of crushes, I love having crushes,” she said. “But lately I think it’s Christian Bale. I just watched ‘American Psycho,’ where he looks really good.”
Stewart noted that her crush was on Bale when he played handsome serial killer Patrick Bateman in the 2000 drama, especially since she had recently seen his latest film, 2013’s “American Hustle,” in which she noted Bale “looks really bad.”
“He had to get a potbelly for ‘American Hustle,'” the 72-year-old mogul lamented. “So that would have been a good time for him to eat at my house.”
“I don’t think eating is exactly what I want to do with Christian Bale,” Stewart slyly added.
So how would Stewart prefer spending time with the 40-year-old heartthrob? “Maybe take a walk or the movies,” she said with a laugh.
According to People, Bale gained 40 pounds to play the role of husky con artist Irving Rosenfeld in the Academy Award-nominated film, for which Bale received his second Oscar nod. (The actor won an Oscar for 2010’s “The Fighter.”).
“It feels more real, nothing compares to the real as much,” the “Dark Knight” star told Access Hollywood about why he chose to gain weight for “Hustle” instead of using prosthetics. “I don’t know how I could have played it without that Santa Claus belly.”
Stewart will be happy to know that Bale has slimmed down since filming “American Hustle.” He will next be seen as Moses in the upcoming biblical drama “Exodus,” set to be released Dec. 12.
