I understand what you mean about a fanatical fan. There are definitely some of those out there, that would give “stalkers” a run for their money. I’m a fan such as yourself, so I know what you mean. Although, in saying that, if CB stood right next to me, and said “This is John Connor” I would just die! I don’t think I could ever meet him personally and have an intelligent conversation with him. All he would have to do is look at me with those piercing hazel green eyes and I would be stuttering all over myself. I would probably just annoy the heck out of him, but then again, he would probably just smile and walk away because he seems to be very tolerant of his fans. The calm ones anyway. (smile)

I’ve heard good things about the movie, and some not so good things, I guess everyone’s a critic. I’ll give it a try, and take your word for it. (smile)

I actually think Christian’s character is the best in the movie.
Anyway I perfectly understand why you find it difficult to watch it. I have it in my movie collection for a long time but I just watched it last week! I don’t think to ba a fan you have to watch all his movies, I haven’t watch them all. But I think I’m a fan. Not a Fanatic, just a fan (do you know what I mean?)

The movie is peculiar, not an easy film. And CB took risks to play such a role, but that makes a good actor. Yes, there is a sex scene between him and Ewan MacGregor, but it was shoot from a distance, anyway you understand perfectly what’s going on there on the rooftop, and some other sex scene all involving Ewan and Johnatan Rys Mayers (I’m sure I mispelled his name). Nothing shocking or disturbing if you’re a grown-up. Yes, not suitable under at least 16 I think! Anyway watching Christian dressed like that was odd. But you have to watch it, absolutey.(smile)

Okay. I haven’t brought myself to watch Velvet Goldmine yet. I know, I know. Shame on me. I’m not a true fan until I watch Velvet Goldmine….but I just can’t. Not yet. I can’t picture him kissing whats-his-name. And then they say he has sex on the roof with whats-his-name, and they really are getting into it, and I just can’t. I know….I’m so weak. So you liked it? Maybe I should try it. There is a video of it on youtube, it’s called “I Want You” sung by Madonna. Very sensual. Should be rated NC 17, however. Shows some of the rooftop stuff and nudity. Don’t get excited….not CB. (smile) Although, he is shirtless in some of the video. Nice.

Did you know, I was looking at pictures today, and came across a Velvet Goldmine picture on this site, and it was a full frontal nudity photo. I had to zoom in…LOL…to make sure who it was! It wasn’t CB. I don’t think….what do you think? The guy didn’t have CB’s nose. (Like I was looking at his nose) I think it was one of the other actors in the movie. I hope. (smile) Did they have scenes like this in the movie?

I can think of a million things to talk about pertaining to CB other than the “rant story”. Let’s see, his voice (giggle)…his eyes…his smile….his movies….shall I continue? Tee Hee

What were we talking about…Public Enemies? CB looks so good in that movie. The hair, the period clothing….the brooding….and then they had the nerve to give him a tommy gun….that just made my day!

I think it’s okay if the movie is all about Johnny. At least he’s in a “man’s” movie. Those others were getting a little weird for me. Not talking about his acting…acting was wonderful…but the roles were strange.

I think you’re right about CB acting well in just about any role thrown at him, and he does seem to pick roles that are thought provoking rather than ego relating. Like that in him.

I did not read the book, so I don’t know if CB’s character is underdeveloped because of the book or because of the script. But I love CB plays also supporting roles, to me it seems like he goes after good stories and not about characters, fame, starring-roles. And in my humble opinion this makes a great actor, who doesn’t care of fame but of acting! There are too many actors who just care about fame and glory, who just play roles in blockbuster movies that most of the times have no story at all.

Well, I have to tell you, I’m happy people didn’t mention this rant story in their reviews (because I know that tabloids and magazines will do that). They just paied attention to the acting, and I’ve read Christian did a great job with what he had!

Could be me…but it sounds more like a supporting role for CB, rather than a starring role. I’ve heard from other sources, like this one, that Mann didn’t build up CB’s character really well. Still sounds positive for CB, as everyone is saying he still played the role really well considering what they gave him to work with. Wouldn’t expect anything less. (smile)
