Look at the source… I wonder if this is true. We have to take that with a grain of salt, as they say… besides, CB doesn’t look as thin as he was when he did The Machinist of Rescue Dawn. They’re exaggerating to create scandal.

If he has indeed lost 40lbs that’s close to weight he lost for the Machinst. This can’t be good at all. Mark W is right all this yo=yo dieting can’t be good for the heart. Look at Michael Jackson he died not only of drugs, but he himself was also on diet pill and anorexic.

To be honest I don’t think he is THAT thin. Everyone says “OMG HE IS TOO THIN!!”. I think that’s nothing compared to The Machinist!
From those pictures I’ve seen he still has some muscles on this arms and legs. But maybe it’s different now??

I can’t believe this guy is doing it to Christian. Mark Walberg knows very well what media will do with his comments, they will magnitude them and they will say things like Bale is anorexic. He knows it and by the way I’m afraid it’s going to be a good promo for the movie, again rumours and foolishness about Bale. Who better! they know very well that he won’t get along with their game and that is why they mess him up.

He’s got to stop doing this to himself. I thought he said he would no longer drop dramatic amounts of weight because he doesn’t want to scare his daughter?!

I’m not worried about an eating disorder, but I am worried about his health.

Just in case….

CHRISTIAN!!!! Please, please, please stop. You’ve lost enough weight to make your character look convincing and your dedication to your work more than obvious to any doubters. (I’m not a doubter; I’m a devotee). Or, to put it in terms more relatable to your filmography: if you lose any more weight, then you run the risk of the audience confusing your character in The Fighter with Trevor Reznik. I know you don’t want your characters to be too similar. You’re too much of a perfectionist and an artist to let your individual films be too cross-referential.

Plus, rapid changes in our appearance freak our kids out. Your sweet girl needs Daddy to be a constant presence. I KNOW how devoted to her you are. Your love for your family is just one more of the many wonderful components that add up to you. Take care of yourself for you, your family, and the rest of us.

Didn’t he have medical follow-up while shooting The Machinist? I remember having read somewhere that he was careful enough to keep ingesting the right amounts of vitamins and such.

The body is an actor’s main tool, I doubt CB would be carelessly throwing his away. (And we can always count on his adorable kid to complain about Dad looking funny. ”

I have a great rrspect for Cristian. He truly loves his Craft, and is truly a excellent actor. But I too am concerned for hin. and worry he may find himself in the same kind of trouble as Heath got into. He does need to be more health concious. If not for himself for his daugther. I also miss Heath and would hate to see anything like that happen to Chris..
