While promoting the new western 3:10 TO YUMA which opens up September 7, Christian Bale let slip this bit of information about The Dark Knight film and his Yuma co-star Russell Crowe. “Russell’s going to actually be in the new BATMAN movie, which is a big surprise and I want to reveal it to everybody right now,” says Bale who wouldn’t reveal any more info (and who knows, maybe he was just kidding, but that would be cruel).Who Russell will play is still unknown, but iF Magazine would like to think and speculate that if director Christopher Nolan is as savvy as he’s proven with his past films, this may very well be a carefully placed cameo that will lead to Crowe playing a full-on villain in a future BATMAN movie. More news as it develops.
