Recently, Cinema Blend has posted a post about Batman on the cover of ‘Climax’ December 2007 Issue (i know its was from last year!). And if you don’t think that’s funny, well, you’re not in touch with your inner adolescent, and that’s just sad.

Anyway, the delightfully titled Climax magazine has a new cover featuring our favorite Bat-hero, and not, for once, the Joker. That’s right, you’d forgotten there was anyone in The Dark Knight besides the Joker, hadn’t you? The weird thing is that Batman seems to be borrowing the Joker’s terrible lipstick, and has a bloody nose or some other kind of strange red substance around his lips. Check it out for yourself!

The photo is pretty much standard looking Batman– stern face, can barely see his eyes– but the red substance is definitely intriguing. Did he and the Joker make out? Are they trying to suggest that Batman has a Joker deep down inside? Or did Christian Bale just get a bloody nose and nobody bothered to fix it? Either way, it’s another piece of the Dark Knight puzzle, the biggest and most elaborate viral marketing campaign in the history of the Internet. Once Cloverfield opens we can start focusing on Gotham City, and maybe figure out what the hell is going on with all these clues.
