Actor Christian Bale took his superhero role in the latest Batman film, The Dark Knight, to impress his young daughter, WENN reports.

Bale – who played Batman first in the 2005 flick, Batman Begins – admits that he does not enjoy doing crazy stunts much, but wants to keep his 3-year-old daughter proud. “I’d like my daughter to see me do these things, as I saw my father do some crazy things and learnt to appreciate it,” the actor analogizes.

And Bale hopes that his example will teach his daughter, Emmeline, a valuable life lesson. Says the star: “My philosophy isn’t so much, ‘Do what I do.’ It’s more, ‘Whatever you do, do it completely. Don’t do it half-arsed. Do it more than anybody else would.’”

“People will say, ‘Why is he still doing this crazy s**t?’ But I’m OK with that,” Bale admits.Source: The Celebrity Cafe
