The Dark Knight, the sequel to Batman Begins, has broken records by becoming the biggest three-day opener in the US box office history. The movie has already broken the record for the biggest midnight showing by earning $18.4 million going past Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.Starring Christian Bale and the late Heath Ledger, the film has now also surpassed Spider-Man 3, which made $59.8 million. It took over $66.4 million on July 19.
