Britney Spears secured a People’s Choice nomination for her guest appearance in How I Met Your Motherwhile late Heath Ledger is a nominee for favorite on-screen match-up with costar Christian Bale in The Dark Knight.Britney will compete against Luke Perry and Robin Williams, both nominated for their guest-starring roles in Law and Order: SVU. Ledger and Bale will compete against Tina Fey and Amy Poehler and Harrison Ford and Shia LaBeouf. The Dark Knight also won nominations for favorite movie and favorite cast. In the favorite movie category it is pitched against Iron Man andIndiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.Other nominations include Christian Bale, Brad Pitt and Mark Wahlberg for favorite leading man; Anne Hathaway, Kate Hudson and Queen Latifah for favorite leading lady; Steve Carell, Jim Carrey and Adam Sandler for favorite funny male star; and Ellen DeGeneres, Tina Fey and Whoopi Goldberg for favorite funny female star. The People’s Choice Awards, hosted by Queen Latifah, will air on CBS Jan. 7.
