I’ve uploaded two new scans of first look on Christian’s upcoming movie, Public Enemies from Empire Magazine January 2009 issue. Big thanks to Pam for the scans!

Public Enemies is a film from Unified Pictures set to debut July 1, 2009 starring Johnny Depp as John Dillinger and Christian Bale as FBI agent Melvin Purvis.

Empire Magazine has revealed two shots from the film showing each actor in character.

An adaptation of Brian Burrough’s book “Public Enemies: America’s Greatest Crime Wave and the Birth of the FBI, 1933-43,” the film centers on the government’s attempt to stop John Dillinger and his gang. Depp is playing Dillinger to Bale’s famed FBI agent Melvin Purvis.

David Wenham is playing Pete Pierpont, a member of Dillinger’s crew who has a violent hostility to all authority. British actor Stephen Graham will portray Baby Face Nelson.
